Why red at night

Light for night checks, without waking the yard

Horses run on a day–night rhythm, and bright, blue-rich white light in the small hours suppresses melatonin — the hormone that governs it. A nighttime check under standard LEDs can leave the whole barn wide awake.

At 627nm, EquiBeam Pro’s red mode sits far enough into the red end of the spectrum to have little effect on that rhythm, while still giving handlers usable light to check water, rugs and legs safely.

A nighttime check shouldn’t cost the yard its night’s sleep.

This isn’t a medical treatment and we don’t claim one — it’s simply lighting that respects how horses rest. White when you’re working; red when they’re resting.
